Dr Read works as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Latrobe Regional Hospital, and previously at the Royal Women’s Hospital, where she is actively involved in the training and supervision of medical students and registrars. She has a strong interest in medical education and mentorship.

Her clinical expertise includes managing a wide range of gynaecological conditions, such as cervical dysplasia, menstrual disorders, contraceptive options, amenorrhoea, pelvic pain, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), lichen sclerosus, prolapse, incontinence, and menopause.

Dr Read is also involved in clinical research, including a recent study at Cabrini Malvern that evaluated treatments for vulvovaginal atrophy in women with breast cancer who have contraindications to hormone replacement therapy.

Dr Read is known for her compassionate approach to patient care, ensuring her patients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey.
